Definition: Two or more terms that are so redundant they basically combine to mean one term would be a doublet in linguistics.
Example: It is debated where these occur in the Bible in the original languages, but I recently learned of one that we introduced in our English Bibles and is not in the original: Luke 15:27 'safe and sound' (English) translates one word (Greek) that basically means 'be in good health.'
