November 11 celebrates the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I in 1918, a war commonly referred to in France as the 14-18 War. Our French church celebrated by holding a day of prayer and worship in song.
The Armistice was signed in Compiègne Forest, a forest in the historic region of Picardie, northern France, near the town of Compiègne (quite a ways north of where we live).
