Valentine's Day - Not French Originated!

That's right. Though it is a common mistake to make, contrary to what one might assume, France did not create the celebration and holiday of Saint Valentine's Day. Chaucer (England) in 1382 was earlier. SVD as:
  • A modern commercial holiday is rooted in England and America
  • Celebrated in France is not nearly as commercial as in the USA
  • Celebrated in France is not for kids; schoolchildren do not exchange valentines.
We delayed our celebration a couple days; today, we ate some pizza, had family worship time, and read a poem!
