A Union Education: What WI Reveals About Public Workers and Political Power

Many of our readers are probably aware of the situation in WI, so we will not detail it.

But since it gave some history behind unions in the US, Wall Street Journal's write-up was enlightening on the political situation in WI, where the governor is faced with changing the retirement packages, etc. of government workers or start massive lay-offs due to budget deficits.  This has sent the unions into a frenzy; they are staging massive demonstrations in the capital.  And not only in WI is this happening.
