Holiday in Cameroon Today!

The Assumption of Mary, which is nowhere in Scripture but nevertheless part of Catholic dogma since 1950, teaches that Mary the mother of Jesus ascended into heaven. Our Cameroonian Catholic friend plans to attend mass in the morning, but he indicated that there were no important public events planned. And despite this being a national holiday, he told us that many people will still be working their jobs.
