"My dwelling place shall be with them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Then the nations will know that I am the LORD who sanctifies Israel, when my sanctuary is in their midst forever." (Ezek 37:27-38)
In Ezekiel 36-37, Yahweh promises to transform Israel with His Spirit and to abide with them forever. According to one scholar, these chapters are "one of the most important passages for understanding the New Testament doctrine of salvation and the contours of Ezekiel's salient concern for God's grace" (Sprinkle, 274).
