Evangelical Ellipsis

I was reading the end of Joshua today and was reminded of an example of a problematic Evangelical ellipsis.  How often have we seen something like this sign based on Joshua 24:15, which assumes that the choice is between serving Yahweh or the false gods?

Before looking at your Bible, do you know what choice he was actually presenting?
