MOWA's announcement of the adoption reduction from 50 to 5 per day in Ethiopia includes this:
"For adoption cases registered with the Ethiopian court, the best estimate is a one-year delay...It is estimated that between 800-1,000 adoption cases are currently on the docket of Ethiopian courts."
We do not have a referral nor court date, so our adoption case could be expected to last even longer.
