The Ethiopian adoption courts close each year for several weeks during rainy season (August and September). For this reason adoption processes tend to slow down majorly during the summer months. Our agency has told us that we should not expect to hear anything regarding a referral until October at the soonest.
In the meantime, we will, Lord-willing, be moving to Africa, settling in, updating our paperwork due to the move and continuing to wait on the Lord and trust in His goodness in this process.
